The CPA Exam consists of 4 exams, 342 multiple choice questions, 6 essays, 6 reseach simulations, 18-25 open ended calculations, and it lasts for 14 hours.
I studied for between 50-70 hours before each of the 4 tests and passed them all of my first try.
Test #1 FAR = 88*
Test #2 AUD = 83*
Test #3 REG = 79*
Test #4 BEC = 80*
*75 and above is a passing score
For some perspective on this accomplishment note that over 50% of cpa exam candidates fail the test.
All of those candidates who fail (and those who pass) have attended at least 5 years of college and paid nearly $1,000 for the chance to take the tests.
